Shielded Dreams is a non-profit initiative dedicated to raising awareness about online job scams and supporting vulnerable job seekers through education, outreach, and community events. We are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals who are seeking employment opportunities, and we strive to provide them with the necessary knowledge and resources to protect themselves from fraudulent practices.

We believe that every individual deserves the chance to pursue their career dreams, free from the fear of falling victim to online job scams. Shielded Dreams is dedicated to empowering job seekers, helping them define their career path, and making a positive impact in the online employment landscape.

Meet the Team

William Phyo Wai Yan Myint

William is one of the Co-Founders of Shielded Dreams. A Myanmar-born HR Professional with 12+ years’ experience across talent development, L&D, OD, and executive search, William has worked with multinationals like Nestlé and Telenor and led hiring for CXO-level roles in Myanmar's dynamic markets. William has also been selected as one of the fellows representing Myanmar in the U.S. Department of State’s YSEALI Professional Fellows Program (Fall 2025), focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment.

Luna

Luna is one of the Co-Founders of Shielded Dreams, currently based in Thailand. She is a digital marketing professional and entrepreneur. Having lived abroad herself, Luna understands the challenges of leaving one’s country in search of a better life and is passionate about supporting fellow migrants through Shielded Dreams.

Jack

Jack is one of the Co-Founders of Shielded Dreams - a young professional from Vietnam focused on SDG 8 (Decent Work & Economic Growth) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities). He develops inclusive job opportunities for marginalized communities through hands-on training and social enterprise work. He was selected as the sole Vietnamese recipient of the Youth Leader Fund from the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA).

Walkie Talkie

I am a Burmese drag performer with experience in makeup, costumedesign, and stage performance. I’ve represented Myanmar at international drag festivals and performed as a host and resident queen. Alongside my drag career, I have worked with community organizations. Now currently working as a migrant worker in Phuket, Thailand. I combine creativity, performance, and social activism to create positivechange and safe spaces for others.

Wint Thiri

I am a Cloud Channel Sales Executive at ICT Solution with prior experience in customer service and quality assurance in international teams. Beyond my professional career, I actively volunteer in various community initiatives, including with Shielded Dreams under the YSEALI Positive Online Space program.

Duong

I am Duong, a final-year student in Vietnam. I am passionate about volunteering and community-oriented social activities, with the desire to contribute my efforts to addressing and raising awareness about pressing social issues that remain unresolved in Vietnam and across Asia.

Min Min Htet

I’m a graduate student at Chiang Mai University, where I’m pursuing a Master’s in Ethnicity and Development. My journey includes international exchange programs, and research experience.

Linn Pyae Pyae

Pyae is a professional Makeup Artist with a background at Nestlé Myanmar and a passion for empowering others through beauty. With experience mentoring nearly 100 students, Pyae combines creativity, professionalism, and positivity to inspire confidence and self-expression in every client.

Alvaro

Hi, I’m Alvaro, an undergraduate from Vietnam currently interning at Mondelez Vietnam, where I bring creativity and energy into my work. Guided by my core value of creating real impact, I’m excited to contribute to meaningful initiatives like those at Shielded Dreams.

Phuu Pwint Thura

I’m Phuu Pwint Thura, a high school graduate from Myanmar currently on a gap year. My passion is Economics and exploring how it shapes the world. I also deeply value education, and aspire to spread this passion through teaching and writing articles on various topics that share knowledge and spark curiosity.
